Motion sensors for the proximity alarm. Leave your windows down. Arm the alarm and stick your arm in the window.

I think I read someplace that if your vehicle is closed up, the interior temperature gets over 100F and those sensors pick up any movement, the alarm will go off. Basically it thinks you left someone or something in the car.

When you exit the vehicle, you have the choice between all sensors, or proximity sensors only for the alarm system. If you select all sensors, or leave that selected, those motion detectors are armed. If they sense any movement, they cause the horn to go off repeatedly. I.E. leave your dog in the car (cool day), he will set off those sensors. Wife found that out first day she owned it.
