Hi everyone, I just purchased an ODB2 reader and found that my car has 3 errors reported, no check engine light is on.
1) the first is an error about connection to the mobile phone unit (it's not fitted so I think that explains the error!!).
2) the second error is that the drivers side rear view mirror Vertical position sensor failure, Again not a big issue.
3) the third error is a B1003 Left Hood deployment Control, reading it sounds like this could be a failed blower mixer door? I have no idea what a blower mixer door is or where it's located, but a few messages seem to indicate that its a real bear to get to and fix. Can someone tell me what this blower mixer door does? Where it is located on a 2008 Expedition max and what is involved in getting to it and testing it? I would like to fix this error if I can.

Thanks for any links or suggestions. I was really surprised that on a 18 year old car with 250+K miles I only had 3 errors and all are very minor, but I want to keep it running. I can't do anything for error 1, I could replace the driver door mirror or try opening it and clean the sensor (Probably water got in and corroded the sensor) but not really worth it, but we drive th car a lot, so I would like to fix the AC issue to keep the temperature comfortable inside the car, I live in Texas and you can't drive without AC!! :)

Cheers Gary

Really getting confused, many people seem to explain that this error is due to an actuator that is down near the floor above the transmission hump and is a bear to get to, but I watched a couple of videos for the same error and they show that it's really easy to get to, you just remove the radio and fascia panel and the actuator is very easy to access? Does error B1003 apply to multiple actuators? I would have thought each actuator would have its own unique failure code? As it's easy to remove the radio and access the actuator in the video, I will try that first but wanted to ask on here as many of you know this car far better than me. I forgot to mention its an 08 Limited ELT.
