I want to find what’s drawing down my battery, but i need to make sure the dome light switch is off when door is open to check fuses, but it dosn’t have a nice simple button on door frame like in the old days. I think the switch is in the door. How can i simple disengage so i can have the door open while checking fuses. Or can i just take out the dome light fuse, and if the draw is from that circuit, i guess my multimeter would tell me that, right?
Also can i just unplug the under the hood light. That would show a draw on my multimeter unplugged, would it?
Thanks for the help

maybe just pop the dome light bulb out? Don't know if there is more on that circuit than jus the light though.

Does your truck have a dimmer roller switch on the dash? If so, switching it
completely off will negate the dome light

To many interior lights, just looking for simpler way and I thought power would still be going to interior lights dimmer and would affect the reading, but will try.
But first i wanted to establish whether i had a draw. I have good battery, disconnected neg and with multimeter on DCamp, connected one lead to batt and other to disconnected cable. All i got was a clicking relay in the engine compartment fuse box. Multimeter just jumping around. I do have red lead on multimeter plugged into the dcamp spot and set on dcamp.
Wondering if it’s my multimeter(new battery’s, but that shouldn’t matter). ?
So obviously i still don’t know if i have a draw, but I’m sure i do cause when i charge battery with it connected it goes dead in couple days, but when i charge battery disconnected it holds charge.
Thanks for your feedback.
