Has anybody used this brand yet? Any comments? I'm replacing the terrible oe pads on my 03 expy (xlt/4x4/5.4). I'm having a hard time finding raybestos, stillen, or ari locally and online. I found Bendix locally selling for 82 bux for the front and 65 for the rear.

Tx!

I don't think the other companies have developed brake pads for the '03 EXPY yet.

Do you have a part number for the Bendix pads? Are they ceramic?

I will try to get the part number from the local dist later. Yes, it is ceramic. I know ARI has already released ceramic pads for the 03 expy, based on my communications with them:

Thank you for your inquiry. You should be able to purchase the ARI
RoadProven Ceramic pads through a NAPA retailer. The part number for your
vehicle is 68-D934. While the NAPA store in your area may not carry that
part number they can quote you pricing and special order them through their
warehouse.

bendix brakes

I have a 2001 exp and was having problems with my front right caliper and left rear caliper. a friend of my neighbor used to manage a brake shop and did the brake work for me (all 4 calipers and brake pads). He suggested Bendix all around and performed the work.

The truck had ~50k when this was done and now has ~64k. I need to take the wheels off and check the wear but have been satisfied with their performance and not to mention that there is alot less brake dust which i see alot of people complain about.

Strange.

I just contacted our local NAPA Auto Parts store and they don't have the ARI cermic brake pads (Part #68-D934).

They carry United brake pads (whatever that is). The person then said that items vary from store to store and that one brand held by one NAPA store may not be sold at another NAPA store.

Tried http://www.napaonline.com to see if they might have some reference to it, but nothing turned up there either.

So, it looks like I'm still out of luck looking for brake pads.
