Hi All,

I've been lurking on the forum for a while and finally pulled the trigger on a 1999 Expedition XLT, 5.4 A/4WD a couple months ago. I bought the truck as a weekend/fishing tow vehicle and have slowly been fixing her up. I'm looking to replace the front and rear shocks and firm the ride up (as well as the bounciness and body lean- relatively speaking) and wanted to get some recommendations from everyone. I've been thinking about going the Rancho route, but wanted to get more input. As it stands, my truck sits pretty high off the ground and i'd like to retain ground clearance as I do travel off the beaten path here and there.

Thanks!

Rancho makes the 5000 series for front and rear. The 9000 adjustable shocks are available for either just front or rear, can't remember which. That was about 2 year's ago when I looked into them, for my 2000 Eddie bauer.

I have a problem my AWD Eddie Bauer Expedition was converted from Air ride, it has the Monroe 90010 Kit in which the front Shocks have springs around them!
I cant find replacements for the fronts all the ones that show up at the parts stores are just regular Shocks without a spring!

It seems all 4x2 Expeditions use regular shocks and the system says mine "could" use them to! I did find some no name shock on amazon with a spring but nothing brand name except a full conversion kit!

Any one know if i can just buy shocks without the spring for the front, like a 4x2 and what brand name and model number.

My truck has torsion bars at the front to,
