What dont you like about the stockers? My rancho's have been really nice so far

i feel that the ride can be much improved, its not bad per se, but its not as good as i'd like.

just waiting on some company to release the dang shocks already.

I love my Bilsteins. I don't think I would buy any other shock. I have a 4" Rancho lift with the Bilsteins and my truck drives better than my wife's Caddy Escalade! Avoid Rough Country. Rough Country = Rough ride. Hold out for the Bilsteins. Rancho always seemed stiff to me but the last time I had Rancho's was in the mid 80's on my FJ40

By "Better" do you mean better handling, or better (softer) ride? The Bilsteins will stiffen the ride a bit, but give you a better feel of the road. If you want a softer ride than stock, DON'T go with the Bilsteins. I have them on my '06 and love them, but I like the better handling and feel of the road.

you paid for them...i'd give them a few years then swap them...if youre comapring them to another truck/SUV you had...WELCOME TO FORD!!! personally i'd wait to swap them when you need new tires since youre riding on 22's...and since youre riding on 22's...you already got better handling from the wider wheel...buy anti-sway bar kit for your truck...the stocks are nothing compared to aftermarket anti-swar bars and will drastically improve you handling and response

Thanks, the bilsteins are in production, probably wont be out until 2013.

the ride is more comfy then my bmw x3 with sports package. i am not really comparing, just that the expedition seems more bouncy then i would like it, as i don't tow or anything.

handling on this vehicle isn't as bad as i would think, i bought this truck new, sight unseen, dealer drove it over and i gave him the checks hah.

i hit a speed bump and my head is guaranteed to hit the headliner.

i have a set of hellwig sway bars, but i can't find any comparisons between ford OEM and hellwig sway bars. I emailed hellwig plenty of times asking if they have some comparison numbers. I have not installed them yet, due to laziness.

I do not mind a stiffer ride.

Obviously you don't mind the stiffer ride with the X3 with sports pkg. We had an '05 with the sports suspension and it was pretty stiff. My wife loved it though, and we special ordered it with the aero kit ('05's came stock with black bumpers). She liked it much better than her '11 328i xdrive.
That being said, you will like the Bilsteins. I would wait for them to come out, but I wouldn't count on that production date to be met. They usually say they are in production before they actually are to keep people interested in them.

Thanks for your insight, i have a 2007 x3 with sports package, the ride is supposedly a lot more compliant then previous models.

I never expected the ford to be comfy, it does pretty good on highways, i believe the bilsteins will be able to help me with certain things, like speed bumps, i don't want my car jumping like a jack rabbit.

What i am trying to figure out doing is what the hellwig sway bars i have will help me with.
