Hey all!

What is the main benefits going with the f150 front 5100’s vs the expedition ones? I’m putting on 285/60/20 tires on aftermarket rims so I don’t need a full max lift vs if I was going 35’s. But I want to get whichever one is best and gives the best ride. Or is it purely just the ability to get extra height out of the front using f150 ones? Sorry if a repost I couldn’t find any good explanation between the two.

The idea behind the F-150 setup is that if you're already looking to run the maximum height, you can do so without running the stock springs under max preload as if you were using the Expedition setup. Springs under less preload will also tend to not ride as harsh. Also, if you add weight to the front end such as a brush guard or any other additional weight, there is still room to add height to the setup to account for weight droop.

If you're only looking to replace a strut and keep same height or modestly lift, then the Expedition setup is likely the way to go.
