Burning oil

Don't change the viscosity on a VVT engine. Too many hydraulic components run on the engine oil and will cause problems at a cold startup. Best is to keep the oil clean. As another posted, check the PCV valve issue.

No oil debate needed, a change from 5w-20 to 30 is not a big change, but works for me and there have been several comments on this site about it being a good idea. Been running the thirty weight for couple years now.
