Buzzing or Zipping Sound Under Light Acceleration

I’m getting an occasional kind of a zip or buzzing sound with a momentary loss of power when driving at a moderate speed and light acceleration.

It has done this very intermittently for a few years but noticed it occurring more often lately. It seems to be coming from somewhere behind me. Also no codes. Attaching a video clip. You need to turn the volume up.

Google "torque converter shudder" and see if that's what you're dealing with. I'm experiencing that with our 2015. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

Thanks. I’m fairly convinced that I have the shudder. You should try friction modifier before you resort to replacing the converter.

Update. I did fluid/filter change and added a tube of shudder gard. All good for now, but not sure how long it will last.
