I'm getting confusing info. I found instructions on line how to change cabin filter in 2000 Expedition, but then I also found info on how to install one, because Ford did not plan on it and it requires cutting into ductwork. So the question is - is there or isn't there a cabin filter for 2000 Expedition?

Read your vehicle owner’s manual.

For several years on some third generation Expedition models, Ford offered an accessory kit with the HVAC air filter.

I too have a 2000. Some parts listing show a part #, but their is no factory installed filter anywhere. I've heard that some dealerships did install units at their dealer, but their pretty rare. Best advice is keep top of dash clean and dust free, remove vents coverings in middle, and use long Q tips to clean any dust. I run my AC from April through November, and unfortunately, I'm blowing my nose quite a bit. Even with a cabin filter, dust and dirt makes its way through vents, mostly from outside going in.
