I have a 2007 EL 4X4 and recently when changing the air temp on the control knob there was clicking sound when the AC temp was turned to its coldest setting. Since then, I have tried the heater and now the air flow only comes through the dash vents and the deforest vents. (no floor heat) Could this be a blend door? an actuator? or a vacuum problem? Are there any relatively simple fixes to this without a full dash disassemble? Thanks in advance

daoud el-massri - does the blend door control the various vent positions? (i.e. defrost, dash vent, or floor?)

Hey Hotdog99,

Have you considered a quick trip to your Ford Dealer for assistance? You may locate one here. If you're looking to DIY, check out Ford Parts.

Always here if you have questions.

is that the best you can do

Hey bedrck46,

You should hear my great impression of Topol from "Fiddler on the Roof" (If I were a rich man...). As a Social Media Specialist with Ford Motor Company, I'm here to point individuals to resources available to them. I'm always more than happy to answer questions, and have enjoyed interacting with the nice folks on this forum.

Happy holidays to you.

I am sure you have but it would be nice to at least see you offer some advice on how to fix something rather than telling someone that they can take their expy to the stealership opps dealership Happy holidays to you also

Good morning bedrck46,

As we've discussed via private message, I'm not a trained technician, nor can I diagnose vehicle concerns from my office. I understand completely that many of the individuals on this forum prefer to take care of concerns themselves, and in those cases, I'll gladly point users to all available resources (which includes but is certainly not limited to the certified technicians at Ford Service Centers).

Todd.
That is why most are on here to get help from others rather than spending a fortune on a dealership to only wind up getting a run around which has happened way to often. Just like the one member that I was just trying to help and when I asked which bank 2 he changed he informed me that he did the passenger side when I told him bank 2 was the drivers he didn't want to believe me as he was told by a Ford service manger that bank 2 was the passenger side. Or maybe that service manger told him the wrong side with the hope that he would get frustrated and bring it into the shop and get another run around. Again it would be nice if you would offer at least something in the way of helping people make repairs and not telling them what they most likely already know. Wish I had a job like yours and get paid for it. Again happy holidays
