can you add ford connect (ford pass) to a 2018 XLT that did not come with it?

Can you just add a module or part to enable the Ford Connect functionality to an XLT that did not come with it? Wondering if anyone has done this.

You might look at the F150 forums, I haven't researched it lately and thankfully my new expy has it already, but if you have sync 3 it should be doable, but it requires the CORRECT TCU (there are a number of them, but you need one that is 4G but also compatible with your vehicle's network type), wiring (there was a guy on the F150 forum making harnesses that iirc worked off the OBD/gateway module you might be able to get one from him) and you need to be pretty good with forscan to change the TCU to match your vehicle, force it into setup mode, enable it in sync, etc)
