Hi I just wanted to ask if you could totally remove the catalytic converter in my 2000expy 4x2? I think it's about to give cause of the tailpipe odor it emits. Would it be ok to run the expy without cats? Thank you very much.

Itll be fine. It will set a check engine light code for low back pressure on the secondary o2 sensors. But the engine will run prefectly fine. Whether or not your local laws support this is your responsibility on how "legal" your expy is after this. That responsibility is on you.

Thank you very much! I will have it removed eventually. It's ok here I guess. Only a few cars have cats maybe the brand new ones only.

You actually have 4 cats, or at least most do. If you remove both downstream (large) cats, you will not set a check engine light, mine have been off for about a year now and no CEL.

Yah there're two small ones upstream of those, one on each side. They don't look like much but are enough to satisfy the computer.
