This thing has gotten the best of me, every time I tighten it and I go somewhere and I come back home it's loose again.

This is the second time I stripped off and broke the little adapter that plugs into the antenna by tightening it.

I tried to get a lock washer but it takes up too much thread and doesn't allow me to screw in the adapter thingy for the coax cable.

What the hell do I need to do to keep this stupid thing from coming loose all the time?

Now I've gotta go to radioshack and waste another 6 bucks on one of these stupid adapters :nono::nono::nono::nono::nono:

Locktite it

That's what all my buddies told me, but I don't want it to be permanent and I feel like if I just put a little bit on the tip of the thread it won't make any difference.

I just ordered the mount in the link above, if that doesn't make a different I will go ahead and try some 242.

If you go with the mount you just bought, you wont have a problem anymore. I might look into that when I get my longer antennas someday. Stuff just keeps popping up preventing me from spending money on "not needed" stuff for my expy :(

We'll see, I sure hope so.

It's pretty ridiculous with the one that I just broke, any time you try to put pliers on it, it just strips the thread...

At least this new one is a legit bolt that you can tighten. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

And trust me, as far as spending money on "not needed" stuff it happens way too often with me.. lol :rotflmao:
