clear conering lens

Has anyone tried installing clear conering lens from the Navi on the side mirrors of the 2003 EB to replace the amber lens?

You can't order the clear lens. You have to order the entire driver and passenger side mirror.

You also need to remove the interior door panel to replace the side mirrors (I've done it four times now with mine and a friend's truck).

I actually like the amber lens since the signal lights in front are amber. I'd consider changing them to clear if I ever swapped out my front headlights for the clear set.

You can try to get lucky and see if an '03 or higher Navigator has made it to a junkyard (though I think it's still early in the game).

If the case would be needing to replace the side mirrors then this would cost a FORTUNE.

I'll just stick to the Amber.

But if I get lucky and could get only the lens would this fit in the slot of the amber?
