dashcams for gen4 ?

I got the 4K version, its 3840x2160 aka 2160p ...
yeah re the reflections, but the sun was very low to the west (left) ...
The camera lens is directly in front of the rear view mirror, be hard to put it much higher. I did put the polarizer on it, but I didn't test different polarizer rotations to see which cut the reflections the most.
The hood does seem to fill more of the field than I remember on my last dashcam, some cheap knockoff circa 2004: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkLdKJgWO5A

I just realized, the camera was set to 1440p so the video I uploaded to youtube was in fact 2560x1440. I switched the camera to 3840x2160, so when I upload a new vid, thats what it should be.

I look forward to your update. I would question how this video was compressed by YouTube because even that quality doesn't look anything like what 2K should look like.

I also rerouted the rear wire, this time starting at the front, as I somehow messed up starting in the back and didn't have enough slack. Was *WAY* easier with a trim tool or two to push the wires under the edge of the head liner along the top of the left side doors. and this time I have enough slack at the rear cam to be able to open the glass only, as well as the whole door.
edit, eeek, youtube really smashed the vid quality ?!? ok, attaching an original file if its not too big. grrr, can't attach .TS files.
ok, pushing to a webserver, https://freescruz.com/20250310152645_001492A.mp4 its a 350MB file, 'save link as...' then view it, don't try and stream it
