I've used the SportWing Molding, linked in Post 8, on my previous Expeditions and they work very well. The price on Ebay is usually the same on SportWings website Here. Their website gives you several options for moldings not shown on Ebay. I've got a set of the color matched ChromeLine on order for our new Platinum. Two things to be aware of: First, make sure they are installed on a warm +70F degree day so the 3M tape adheres correctly. Second, I always use painters blue tape as a guide to get the lines right before installing the moldings.

I had a friendly fire incident recently when one of my kids opened our Expy door in the garage and left a ding on my 2020 F350. Time to call the paintless dent guy. Frustrating, but can't sweat it too much.

Modern tech must be good for us and dings are just a minor inconvenience we must suck up.

Keep in mind people hate SUVs and will go out of their way to door ding them. Only solution is to park away from everyone else. I have been very lucky with my vehicles in doing this. However my wife drives the 04 and it is loaded with door dings and scratches. She won't park away from the herd.

This was my first thought when Ford announced aluminum bodies. Still don't know if they respond better or worse to parking lot dings.

New York is horrible for its inconsiderate people and parkers. I'm in the suburbs, so there are a few more parking choices. I just avoid people, parking and otherwise when I can.

I check my vehicle and have my keys ready every time I park in a parking lot. Except that ONE TIME. Rear hatch has a nice imprint of something. Oh, why do I have my keys ready? Do unto others as they do unto you.

Wow, are you serious? Think you missed the crux of the golden rule there, @Bunky!

This aligns to my own sentiments on that matter:

Buy a surveillance video camera. Turn the video over to the police. 1 count of hit and run.

That being said, I park mid-way at the main lot at Walmart. This should be the prime location for door dents. I have been parking there for 18 months and I don't have any.

I also park far away, problem is I work out of town away from home for a month at a time and my wife has 3 small kids one being a newborn. It irritates me when she parks around other people, but I know I can't expect her to walk alone all the way from the back of the lot.

Was hoping there is some kind of molding I can add on that looks good that would be the sacrificial part instead of the alluminum door panels.

Probably going to cost 300-400 to have paintless dent removal. Would like to avoid this in the future.

Hoping someone has added moldings that are functional that look nice
Had some dents removed locally by Carisma, very cheap.less than $200.00. they were large dents to boot
