My kids always turn on one of the rear dome lights and I only notice after i lock the truck and I'm half way in my front door. When I go back to the truck to turn it off I can't get it to shut off with out starting the truck back up. What am I doing wrong?

I have the same problem. I usually climb in, close all the doors, wait a minute for the interior lights to go off, and then turn the light off. I think it'll go off on its own after a few minutes, but I haven't timed it to see how long it takes.

I’m not at home to check, but maybe the buttons on the overhead console would work without starting the truck. Before opening any doors, push the button that turns all dome lights on twice. This should cycle them all on then off.

If doors are open and the truck is off, push the button to disable dome lights when the doors are open to see if any are left on. I think the all dome lights button would work to cycle them on then off at this point. After this, re-enable the dome lights with doors.

I find the dome light controls on 2018+ to be a bit of a PITA. Every time I turn the truck off all the lights come on. There's no setting I can find to stop this from happening. If I'm parked and staying in the truck while someone else goes into the store, etc. I have to push the button to override and turn all lights off.

One night I activated all the interior lights just as I was parking in front of our house. When it was time to go inside, I forgot I'd done that, then I noticed the lights were still on after I locked the truck and was heading inside. I got back into the truck and tried to turn them off but they stayed on no matter what I did! It took me almost 5 minutes messing with the controls to finally get them to go off.

So here's a bigger question, how do you turn them off manually for example when you're at a drive in with the trunk opened? I've tried locking via the remote. Pushing the overhead button up front several times, etc. This is nuts if you can't.

Literally sitting at a drive in right now trying to not be the only lit up car in the lot.

Nevermind, found the button on the overhead console. Geez, what ever happens to the easy knob or switch near the headlamp buttons.
