I use my Expedition front signal lamp as DRL with forscan. The turning lamp does not work when it is switched on as DRL, how to make both work together

I use GTR i-LED Ultra bulbs and they have been perfect as DRLs and turn signals, for about 2 years now. The only thing was I had to add a resistor inline so it wouldn't hyper-blink.

My car is Expedition 2018 Platinum. I changed the turn signal to DRL with existing DRL My problem is after updating it when turning on the turn signal is not working all the time it is lit as DRL.

Strange that it will not. I have seen the programming option but have opted to use my fogs instead. I will have to try it out and see if this is a unique issue.

Is this a requirement in SA for the front turn signals to be DRL (amber color, etc.)?

In order to do that, you need to wire in a relay or a flasher. DRL lights are always on, so you can't see blinking because it is still being powered on the whole time. Need to interrupt drl signal to see blinking. I am having same issue upfitting the drl circuit to strobe with a wig-wag for emergency response lights. Find turn signal wire and use it as the switch wire on your relay. Google something like "how to wire wig-wags on headlights or drl"

Actually, there is a FORScan code to do it on Gen4 Expeditions. I did it a while ago, but, since mine had a dead passenger DRL when purchased and the cost was $1200 to replace, which the dealer paid, I decided to not even use them except when my headlights are on at night. So I reversed it.
