I'm thinking of a roof mounted tent and I'm wondering what the dynamic load rating is? I was going to put the iKamper Skycamp up there. Can I mound it to the stock roof rack?

Not a lot, imho

Them roofs are pretty squishy. Literally. Press hard and it flexes.

My Owners Manual (2017 XLT EL) says the max rack load is 200#. It does not specify if that is a dynamic load. Seeing that the SkyCamp weighs ~155# that doesn't leave much for you. And keep that top speed in mind.....70mph.

Very European.

In short: yes, you "CAN"... but the biggest permissible occupant is your cat

Dogs and small children? Pushing it (and unsafe anyway).

Grown humans? Forget it
