Lately I have been having some weird issues. Truck starts out fine drive for a few miles then it seems to want to idle around 1500 rpms. Idle is set to stock on the edge so im really not sure whats going on. When I set the truck back to stock it runs just fine.

Could be a small vacuum leak, that opens up once the engine bay warms up.
Possibility #2 the iac motor is on it's way out.

Agree with baker... If it idles fine set to stock I would say its something with the edge programmer. Possibly a software issue. Call edge up and discuss your issue. Not familiar with it myself.

Ya thats what I was thinking I was just hopeing that I wasnt the first one to have a problem. I mean wow I hardly drive the truck anymore. Trucks got 98k now it is mainly used to pull trailers once or twice a month. I noticed the high idle after coming back from the lake when I put it in park. I think it only does it in park though. Then last night drove it to blow off the cobwebs and play in the rain and she will walk sideways down the street even with the a4wd locking in. still gotta do the brown wire mod.

like this?
still dont know whats causing it, but it goes away after a while.

Rpm rise in Park. - YouTube

o how i miss 163k miles. now its at 176k. :bawl:

Stock commanded idle is higher in park/neutral than in gear. There are also many idle adders such as a/c, high iac temps and engine temps, etc... But it seems your idle in gear and neutral is a bit high.

i dont have the edge anymore, the high idle happens at first start up and if its hot out. if i stay by my house its fine, but friends house in 90+ heat it goes up to 900-950 in gear and up to 1400-1500 in park/N. whats causing it idk. do i really care at this point? no. but i can unplug the battery and it goes away.
