Electric swing out running boards

Has anyone here added the electric running boards from the limited to there expy. I would love to do this and would like to see a how to on this topic

look into powerfold or one of those other ones still like 2G's but cheaper then acquiring and installing oem stuff

Yeah I've been looking at them since mine started falling apart and they do put a strain on the wallet.

I've looked at a few aftermarket boards but the look of the oem pieces are so streamline...may be worth the money

I have them on my 2011 limited and would probably like to swap them for regular ones. I have EL version tuxedo black. Those stupid power running boards break a lot and very expensive to fix. And once they break and are out all the time they look ugly like a floating device.

They were not inexpensive when I added them to my 2012 factory order but I love how they tuck in and are completely integrated to the body line under the doors. I hadn't seen them on any Expys locally and crossed my fingers that they would look and perform well. They don't flex under my getting in, feel solidly bolted on when extended and that's impressive.

I had the fixed position traditional ones on our '99 and wouldn't have an expy now with out either of them.

YMMV


It's tough to justify spending over $1200 on running boards.
