Just did a motor swap on a 2007 expedition Eddie Bauer. The engine is a remanufactured one from Oreilly Auto Parts. Engine starts, runs a bit rough, seems like a timing issue by the sound, then it just bogs down and dies. Won’t start again, it try’s, wants to, but just sputters or pops here or there. Replaced the bad coil packs, the odb was giving me two that had an error.
Have multiple other codes all of a sudden, timing, throttle actuator forcing idle, throttle actuator stuck open/ forced closed. Coil bank g code still showing up.
All grounds checked, metal cleaned wires stripped and new terminals installed.
My thoughts are that the ecu is stupid with this new engine, and it needs to be remapped??
