Expedition CD changer and burned cd's

Has anyone had any problems playing burned cd's in their Expedition? When I try to play them nothing comes over the speakers.

i have a 99 expy and play burned cd's through the cd changer all the time. make sure you are using cd-r and not cd-rw cds and that you are not burning them to the disk as mp3's. They have to be converted to audio/wave files before they will play in the car.

That's correct most stock radios will only play CD-R's. my wife's 2000 explorer is the same way.
