I think your also gonna need some nitrous. :pepper:

Would help! But with low compression and a built block...just need a bit more boost. Right now I am only making between 10-11 psi boost. Thats mild for this set up.

the older models. 5.4 3v. then the 6.2 2v came out with 16 spark plugs.

yeah, thats what i meant. Roush makes a 3v supercharger that some dealers around me were putting on them as a special package! kinda assumed that they did it else where also.

panda thats nothing new in the way of engine designs 4bangers in the past have run 8 spark plugs and i have heard that they do really help with the compustion cycle creating a much more complete burn which helps with power and fuel economy. its actually a good idea

Great job taking mine to track soon. Most fun truck I've built. Waiting for cooler weather.

Cool!! I am sure the other lifted expys are curious!! Me too!!

So far my A4wd is holding up well. 2wd is no fun unless I want to do a burnout or make some noise.

That is smokin' fast for a beast as big as the Expy. Congrats on having a 6000 lb truck that can keep up with most sports cars at the strip.

What's the average cost for the supercharger mod? Just the basic parts for the lighting upgrade. And I'm talking from a junk yard standpoint.

Do you have a link for other expy(s) running in the 12's? Have not seen any myself and would love to check them out. I know there was a later model whipple charged expy running low 13's on you tube and thought it might be in the 12's or faster by now but unable to find any updates on it.

Mine broke into the 12's far quicker than I ever expected. Did not expect to get there running only 11#'s of boost. It takes near 500rwhp to break into the 12's in an Expy according to the drag calculators. So now I have my sites set on the 11 second zone. This will take 650+ rwhp!! Much more boost and maybe race gas tune.. Don't think the eaton will get me there but will see how far it can take me.

93 pump gas...

So how bad is the MPG ..I know it dosen't really matter as long as your having fun. Just wondering what my next mod for power could be. I figured you'd run 93 Octane but that must hurt alittle at the pump.

I have not checked since coming back from vacation. On the 880 mile round trip it average 10 over all. Thats towing boat in heavy stop and go traffic + beach driving etc...

I will try and start keeping track again. Its a bit of a pain because of the odometer issues. It seems to always go out when I am filling up. :(

I really believe once the tune is perfected it will do as well or better on fuel as stock if I can keep my foot out of it. Takes a lot less throttle to get her moving. Obviously if you put your foot in it, it can suck some fuel.

So it tows the boat nice? ( how big is the boat) I plan on getting a 20ft fishing boat so more power the better! Plus if I get that Fabtech kit and 40"'s it will need the power. :flamingdevil:

That's a sweet ride. A vehicle that does everything you want comfortably, can tow, and run 12's. My old Pontiac ran low 12's and had the same exact 60 ft launch time. It only weighed 3400 lbs. The difference with my car was we had 87 mph in the 1/8 mile, and 109 mph at the top end. Obviously you have to overcome a ton of drag and double the weight. That's awesome.

20' Yamaha Jet boat.

I was most concerned with the tranny on the trip. With all the extra torque and weight holding her back. Did well though. I did not stomp on it while towing for fear of taking the tranny out.

Whats sad is it actually has better hp/weight ratio now with the boat attached than it did stock without. So it should be quicker than stock expy while towing boat. :)
