Factory Repair CDs

Has anyone purchased the factory repair CD for a 2018 or 2019 Navigator or Expedition? Does it include diagnostics? Does it include wiring diagrams? Where is the best place to buy it?

Try Helms publications. They have been the go to for repair manuals, and CD versions for years.

Helm does have a service manual in CD version at a higher price($184).

That's crazy, go on eBay or equivalent. You can buy them cheap, about $20.00. Our past friend Bedrck 47 used to sell copy versions for about $20.00. Unfortunately he won't be able to do that anymore.

I think it will be hard to find a 2018 or 2019 on eBay, but I could be wrong. If anyone finds one, let me know.

You have to take in to consideration that at today's labor rates, a $200 service manual will pay for itself on the first repair or two. So it would still be a bargain.

Sorry guys, I realized after posting the CD, it was only up to '17 models. Looks like you guys/girls will either have to wait a year or so, or pay the Piper now for the 18-19 year models.

Thanks for trying. I need wiring diagrams before my vehicle is a year old. I have an electric brake disable switch I need to figure out how to wire and a few other items.

Maybe one of our guys can print a schematic for you in a PDF, and you can copy it. If not, your going to pay a bit for your own. It's like your new SUV, high price now, real cheap 2 years from now.

I need to change how the reverse wire (center connector) on the 7 wire trailer plug to that it is powered when I flip a switch.

I also want to add a radar detector and dash cam and need a key switched wire for this.

There’s a thread in here a while back that covers the dash cam and radar wireing. They tapped a wire that’s just behind the rear view mirror.

Hoping to resurrect this chain rather than starting new. I happen to be ISO a 2022 manual, but the sources are the same. I used to buy paper manuals, and would have two total that stacked up to over 6 inches thick, from Ford. Are either of these sources - Helms or factory-manuals.com - an electronic equivalent? The Helms site is also selling Ford owners etc. manuals and their description mentions "Developed by Ford Motor Company", yet in the same sentence misspells manufacturer as 'manufacterer', at least in the link for the 2022. I didn't see where factory-manuals says it was sourced from Ford. I'm inclined to think Helms may be 'legit', and only available on CD. I did a quick search of parts.ford.com and came up with nothing.

If folks could chime in about their experience with what is Ford-developed or Ford-outsourced rather than completely independent - like Haynes for example is - I would greatly appreciate the input.

The only hardcopy publication that is available in hard copy is the Wiring Diagram, also available from Helm. Helm the official publication fulfillment partner for Ford and many others. Anything you get from them is a genuine Ford publication
