when i got my expedition in 8/2010 the only thing wrong with it was a broken rear pass side seat belt buckle. i've been meaning to buy one time and time again...kept forgetting. it was allways a pain when going out with friends or whatever soooo a few months ago a friend of mine that also has a expy was at the junk yard and found a very early build '97 and grabbed the buckle for me.
fast forword to yesterday, he comes over and we go to replace the buckle. quick easy job right? wrong! some time between the very early build '97 (this truck was built in 7/96 and my mid '98 they decided to change the mounting point for the seat buckle!! wtf?! so i ended up cutting the brackets apart, then welding the bottom of my bracket to the new buckle. it sits alittle lower then the rest of the buckles but it works!!! i now can seat 5 in my expy again
i know its not a big deal but i have not done much to the expy lately but put miles on it so it was kinda nice to work on her.
