First long trip

Just took a trip from Upstate NY to Myrtle Beach. Very impressive ride and fuel mileage. Left upstate NY with a full tank of 93 octane and averaged 24mpg on the meter and 23.1 calculated. 4 people and loaded with luggage running 70-80 in eco mode. Filled up in Virginia with 87 and got 23.4 meter and 22.6 calculated. Temps were in the 90’s with little wind. Car definitely runs better with premium but it isn’t worth the price difference. The ride is awesome. I am running 36 lbs cold in the tires(running 42 when hot). The door says 39 with the 22’s but I found this a little harsh when the tires were hot. Overall very impressed with this land yacht. Quite a change from our nimble and much smaller Explorer Plat.

Lived there late 70s - mid 80s. Wow, didn’t know a college was there now.....yea, these land boats sure make a trip a bunch easier. Daughter was born there also.
