I cut mine off, just for added clearance, plus I didn't like the look. Nothing seems any different to me. My Expe isn't any faster. It doesn't use more gas. Maybe more jack rabbits get away. It does look different. There must be some science behind that piece of plastic, I just don't know if it is marketing science or what.
