I didn't know traction control is not available on 4L. It's one of the main reason why I bought it. I hope to get a chance to go a little offroading next weekend and see how it does. Disappointing thou

I know this is a old thread, but want to help clear up for future readers.

The electronic traction control system (TCS) remains on and active in 4L (4 Low) mode. Only the engine management part of TCS is shut off. AdvanceTrac electronic stability control (ESC) and roll stability control (RSC) is also shut off.

The ABS "brake differential locking control" part of TCS continues to work no matter which 4x4 mode you are in, whether its Auto, 4H, or 4L
