Has anyone else had the annoying infamous Ford fuse #10 issue? Your steering wheel button lights and shifter lights don’t work. You find fuse 10 blown and replace and get no change as well as not blowing again. There are thousands of threads about this online and it seems not one dealer or owner has found a fix. The only known fix by dealers and owners I’ve seen is to take a 10A fuse, bend it 90 degrees and jump out fuse 79 to 80 under the hood. Only issue is expys have 73 fuses there...I need to figure out what fuse 80 on the F-150 is to see if we have a similar to jump.

It seems many F-150s blow fuse #10 before they are bought off the dealer lots and the issue goes unresolved.

It's not magic. Someone can figure this one out. Unless computers are involved (yuk yuk), a good bit of time and work will find the problem.

Did some quick Googling and read some of the related threads. Very interesting (and annoying it sounds like).

Considering the amount of people who've reported it and the troubleshooting that's already been done, I wonder if everyone is chasing different issues that have similar effects? If it really is all the same root cause, there's got to be some very obscure reason for this....like a wiring harness buried in the dashboard that bends around some sheet metal and chafes just enough to cause a short.

I don’t think I want to chase wires for this, it just seems so common I’m shocked nobody has sound the cause. I’m guessing G213 has the right call. It’s either all different issues or something buried deep in the dash goes haywire. It could be sort of computer related too, I’ve read it may be the junction box itself goes bad (not worth replacing for 3 lights)
