Grinding, odd feeling

Two most common things left are the differential mounting arm and rear diff play. The diff mount arm bushing has seen better days just looking at it......I also see many Explorers have Tranfer Case output bearing slop and it’s just something many owners live with on the 6R60 units......I could be chasing a ghost.

It very well could be the issue at hand. The only thing I’ve noticed lately is the reverse clunk occasionally, I haven’t had a repeat of that “grinding” type noise or rotational feel. It’s possible that was the different road surface I was on that day. Terrible description by me by the way, don’t know how to describe it (not really a metal on metal “grind”). Def still a noticeable clunk reverse and forward to a good ear. I’ve learned to diminish it via brakes.
