My 2012 Expedition EL had the situation where the button for hot and cold on the drivers seat would come on and then go right off.
It initially stopped working one day when I turned on the heated seat for the driver, smelled a burning smell, then it stopped working.
I replaced the pigtail connector on the control module under the passenger seat as it seemed it was common for the ground to burn out. When I removed it I thought it was strange that it didn't appear to be melted at all.
After that the cooling function works but the heat still doesn't (light comes on for maybe 10-15 seconds then goes off).
Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look next?
