Heater Valve

Hi everyone!!
I have a 2006 Expedition 5.4 3V, I live in Florida so no very often we use the heater, so it's really cold here right now!! and no hot at all!!
So I follow advice and I check the Heater Valve Vacuum and the Vacuum line it's connected to the valve, but the other end its loose and I can't find any connector to attach it.
I tested with other vacuum line and it works, it activate and the flow of coolant go into the core and hot is blowing inside the cabin.
I think it need to activate just on demand, so wondering if anyone can share a photo where need to hook it up?
