Hello ladies and fellas. I joined about a month ago knowing I was gonna buy an Expedition and just wanted to get a feel for the site first. Really nice to see how you guys help each other out, exactly what makes Americans and America cars the best in the world. I need to ask my first question, I just purchased a 2001 Eddie Bauer 5.4 and the hose coming from the throttle body going to a valve on the firewall is dry rotted. What is the exact name of that hose and where to purchase from? I pretty much get all my parts from Rockauto. Thanks in advance for the help.

Welcome. I just changed that hose on my 99 XLT 4.6 today. It is part of the fuel evaporative system. Napa hooked me up with a section of reinforced "emission" hose cut to length. Transfered the plastic push-on fitting over, all good. Dealer would probably have the pre-formed version but would be $$$.
Check that PCV hose elbow on the back of the intake. That dries out also and causes a big vaccum leak that causes rough running. Large end goes on the nipple on the intake, small end goes to plastic tube that runs to PCV valve. And finally, the short piece of hose that connects that plastic tube to the PCV valve itself. Mine had a hole worn in it.
