First time SUV owner, 20+ year Ford Owner. Traded my '09 F150 STX for my '11 Expedition Limited. I'm looking forward to learning and contributing to your forum where I can.

Thanks!

welcome...so what kind of expertise do you have to offer? hmmm???

Thank you. Well, let's see.

I'm a Jack of many trades, expert at none. Over the years I've done simple things to my vehicles like pulling the throttle body off the '97 F150 to clean the EGR port, pulled the back of the transmission off to replace the speed gear, did some work on OBD-II coding, messed with a module to pull data from the airbag module, and more recently piecing components together for a home brew nav/audio system in my '09 F150. The rest is history since I traded it on the '11 Expedition.

Where in texas?

Way down here in Houston. If you have trouble finding me, just look up the TranStar traffic cameras online. I'm the one who keeps appearing on the image as I can't stop driving the new rig.

So, I've never really said what changes I want to make to the '11. Changes will be wheels, grille, and tail light smoke.

I stopped by a body shop that I've been dealing with over the years to talk about the grille. He did not feel it would be a good idea to bead blast and paint what I already had. I'm cool with getting a unpainted one and have them shoot it. Then, sell the chrome one on eBay or something like that.

As far as having them do a clear/black paint mix on the tails, I want a slight smoke.. enough to compliment/match the headlights which are already slightly smoked on the limited.

Wheels? That's a whole 'nuther story. I'll be looking for quite a while, though the Mamba "M" line has caught my interest a bit.
