Just my luck. I am leaving for my cabin this friday for aweek and last night when I filled the tank my dash said 35miles till empty and my guage stayed low. I topped it off at 25+ gals. This morning my dash read 320 till empty (about right) but the guage on the dash only went to half and was very slowly moving up as I drove to work. Ended up at 3/4 full when I know it is still topped of ( only work 6 miles from home). I will run some b-12 chemtool fuel treatment when I get home. It is way to hot to pull the tank tonight. Can I just use the DTE on the dash until I can foggier this out? Will it be accurate?

you could but if you know approximately how many miles to a tank of gas you got I would reset the trip odometer and watch how many miles you drive until you get the gauge fixed... and if in doubt keep filling up the tank even if you only get to 1/2... or carry a 5 gallon gas can with you too... or AAA...

Well heck, I took it out for lunch and the guage is showing almost full, so maybe it was just stuck or affected by the stream of 100+ degree days we are having. Now the DTE is 425. I am still going on vacation, but now it is just one more thing to stress over. I hope it behaves on the drive. I will keep an eye on the odometer.
