Installed HID in my 2004 EB this past weekend and they have been great....until yesterday..

On my way home yesterday when the headlights came on (have headlights set to Auto) my whole dash blanked out....went completely dead for a few seconds.

I noticed that once the lights were "on" that the dash/radio/gauges etc...all came back to life. Also noticed that all the "Message Center" data had been reset.

What can I do to avoid this happening again? Am I just unable to have the headlights set to Auto?

Any help is appreciated....Thanks

My 04 has no issues with 35w hid's. I never use the auto lights though. The ballasts are 8 amp max at start up. Stock fuses are 10. They should blow before anything should be hurt.

Do you have this issue when you turn the headlights on the old fashion way by just turning them on and not using the Auto mode ? Sounds more like a light switch problem than a high circuit draw. I've never had any issue like this and I've used HIDs for years in my Expy and other cars with projector housings.

It's only with Auto mode....and honestly it was only that one time. I've tried to recreate it since then to no avail. I'm gonna just continue to manually turn them on for now.

Thanks for the feedback guys

Got the new Fog Lenses yesterday...going to install those and the HIDS and I'll take a few pics and post
