Hello all, i have had the Expy for about a year now. The past few days if noticed that when I'm at a stand still and i slightly step on throttle the truck moves and suddenly stops as if i had an engine brake. If I press throttle as normal then no issue.

Yesterday however I had the ac on and the throttle was acting up. At first it would be as if it could barely respond but a within a few mins throttle stopped responding all together and would only respond if i held pedal down to the ground.

When i turn the ac off the throttle would respond like normal. I currently do not have any CEL and no funny noises. I'm puzzled as to why its doing this.

I googled and searched on here for a possible fix but could only find 2 options. One was the TB sensor and the other was the TB itself. Lastly one person suggested changing anything related to the throttle.

What do you guys think could be the issue. I will attempt to clean out the TB and see if its just dirty and go from there.

Just because you don't have a check engine light glowing, doesn't mean you don't have a code. Matter of fact most driveability issues don't trip the light, heck some don't even store a code. Also do a fuel pressure test, its possible something is amiss with fuel delivery. Also if all else checks out, look into your fuel pressure drivers module up by your spare tire. 2005-08 used these, and can cause all kinds of stalling/ driveability issues. Do the codes, and fuel pressure first, report your findings. We'll get it figured out.

Thanks for the input. Im looking for my scanner. Cant remember where i put it. Once i locate it ill do it. If not a trip to AZ (auto zone) will suffice. But they're a but douchy there. I went the yesterday after the throttle bog and they refused to check cause the cel was not lit. Jerks.

Unless your scanner can monitor the voltage returned by the TPS it isn't going to give you any info that is worthwhile about the throttle. It uses vref and a signal return and is your basic potentiatometer.
