Help with shocks/struts???

Hi, Iam new on the forum and trying to learn more about my fiences 2003 expedition. It's time to replace the shocks and in searching it looks like the front end has struts and the back has shocks. Would like to know if I am correct on the struts on the front. Struts are not so easy to replace I hear. Also can anyone recommend the best replacement shocks? Any help is appreciated, Thanks, Phil

shock preference is a pretty personal thing everyone thinks what they use is the best or if you plan on lifting it lowering it etc etc, personally i have always used bilstein and have been happy with the results

+1 on the Bilsteins. I have had great performance,, they have lated a long time and I like the ride of the Bilsteins. I am not a Monroe or KYB fan.
