Hello,

I just picked up a 2004 Expedition Eddie Bauer 4.6 2wd. Needs new front rotors, new coils, and have to chase the vacuum issue causing my ac to change to heat during acceleration. I have been trolling the forums which is how I discovered what parts I needed for my rear AC blend door actuator so thanks.

I need to find a DIY for the best ways to reach the rear plugs and coils on the 4.6 and any known issues with that motor I should watch for I've found plenty on the 5.4 but not much on the 4.6.

Greetings. I'm surprised the Eddie Bauer was produced with a 4.6. I, also, own a 2004 4.6 (XLS) (17,500 miles). We may be the only owners of a 4.6 Expedition.

How has your 4.6 been and yea the vin for the 4.6 has a W in it. I was surprised too but it may be a blessing in disguise as far as Ive heard the 4.6 has less known issues than the 5.4 as far as I know.

Bought it new.......not one 4.6 problem.

Welcome, most of the vacuum issues related to AC and vents is usually a cracked hose or elbow near the passenger side firewall... at least that's for the 5.4 espy not sure where your hoses go through the firewall but I'd start there
