I was sort of thinking of ripping out the carpet from the 2nd row back (everything in the trunk area) and bed lining it.

Pretty much exactly what nvy did, but I'd only do the trunk (at least for now)

What do you guys think? I just wanted something a little more durable that I could throw my dirty tow straps/rope in, my tool box, paintball guns, etc...

The carpet gets really dirty and I'm sort of OCD about my interior, so I was thinking bed liner would be my best bet..

IMO, for $50-$75 you can get a cargo liner that also covers the rear seat tracks and you can take it out and wash it rather than hosing down the inside of the Expy:

They both sound like pretty good ideas. Maybe spray line the metal then put the cargo liner in. Double durable.

the only problem is, which i found, is when you take out the carpet the foam is glued down so it sticks. or at least thats on mine. so you have to scrape it all off. and besides nvy put the carpet back in. its a sound dampener.

I had my rear interior out and it gets loud in there. just put a rubber liner in or if you want somthing nice put in what I did, (Nifty Catch-all) http://www.lundinternational.com/brands/nifty/ )it's a carpet liner that matches and you can take it out and pressure wash it clean. My carpet and underlay was not glued down. ??

I did this a while ago. My foam was NOT glued down. I figured id spray 3 coast and worst case I'd just put the carpet back over. It is a little louder....but thats right where my exhaust leads so I dont notice any more road noise.... as long as im on the gas which is, always!:p

Cabin noise and weight are two of the last things you think about when driving an 8K pound truck with true dual straight pipes.
