So....you've got the 3 bears collection. Small, medium, and large.

I wish they'd bring the Big Ex back.

Love it. I miss my 2013 Limited but it was totaled so we bought a demo. 2017 Limited with only 6000 miles. Loving it too.

You did it right. Only 4,500 miles per year. That's a good way to start out. Always better to buy the lowest mileage possible. That way you got plenty of time to get to 100k on your own. Are the other 2 Fords white too.

How much did that 2014EL cost?
I paid $34K for a 2014 EL with 34K miles in Nov 2015.
201a & 202a

Miles on the clock is a funny thing. 4500 miles a year could be 900 five miles trips or one 4500 mile trip on the interstate and then it sits idle for the rest of the year. The highest % of my 2014EL miles are on the interstate. Its amazing how evenly the tires are wearing, less wear & tear on brakes, etc. I make sure I drive it for a couple 30 minute jaunts every 10 days or so.

I paid $33K for it... Best deal I could find in my area, drove 2 hours for it. I could eat off the underneath and the engine. They are asking $3-$5K more for around the same model and year with 20-30K more miles on them.

One of them is... The Excursion... It is actually in the body shop getting some rust fixed and then totally painted. A Kia bounced off me in December... Explorer is silver... Jeep is green... :) We actually were hoping to get a red Expedition, we found one we really liked, but the dealer chose to hold it hostage instead of selling it to me. I really liked the V8 and the way it "felt" vs the Eco-Boost... excursion.jpg excursion.jpg explorer.jpg jeep.jpg

Most like the 3.5 turbo, but me, I've always liked v8's or bigger. I never liked winding motors unless I wanted to. I've always liked power without gadgets. In the past I've owned 5-5.0 Ford/Lincoln vehicles. Except for my 84 Lincoln melting down the plastic timing gears at 57k, they ran forever. The 84 Lincoln went to 140k, and I would have kept it except for a bonehead shop destroyed my electrical doing a heater core. I wish Ford would bring the 5.0 coyote motor back to the Expedition, like they have in the F150. But I doubt if they will.

I liked the power and torque of the 3.5, I just really didn't care for the electronic steering.

Some prefer the hydraulic power steering and some like the epas. The 5.4L/6R is a great combo and more so with the 3.73 rear. One of the changes is yours will have electric cooling fans, in 2010 ford switched... less power robbery from the motor on a hot day. Both setups are good. When that clutch engages on mine it’s moving a lot of air, on a hot day with the A/C cranking it sounds like a mini aircraft when I pull from a stoplight.

HAHAHA!!! I was moving a trailer with it the other day and LOVE the backup camera to get me under the tongue! That was awesome!!! Anyway, it was sitting there and it was super loud... I'm like what the heck is this!!! Yup, it was those fans! I thought something was wrong at first. :)

Welcome to the forum. Hope your Expedition treats you well. We have an 04' Expedition EB with over 180000 and it is still going strong. I just picked up used 17' Expedition Platinum and praying it treats us as well.
