I put about 100k miles on a 2015 XLT. It was mostly trouble-free. The drivers door window motor failed at around 40k, had to replace spark plugs at around 70k, and one of the O2 sensors failed at around 90k.

The O2 sensor situation was a learning experience. CEL illuminated so I checked codes with a cheap auto parts store scanner. Code indicated one of the O2 sensors was bad. Took the vehicle to a local independent shop that had a good reputation. When I asked what sensor they were going to get to replace the bad one, the guy said "whatever we can get at AutoZone or O'Reilly". That should have been my clue to go elsewhere. But, I didn't. They replaced the sensor and cleared the code. About a week later, the CEL came on again. I took the vehicle to my local Ford dealer. They replaced the sensor with a Motorcraft part, cleared the code, and the CEL never came on again.

That was my education in junk auto parts.

Welcome to the forum! We had a 1997 1st Gen, a 2006 2nd Gen, and now drive a 2019 4th Gen Expy. We love them all.
