Is she worth it?

Hey guys,

My best friends dad is selling me a 1997 Eddie Bauer Expedition with about 170k miles on it which he picked up from an auction. It has some minor issues such as needs a left side mirror, needs a new radio, and some electrical problems with the sun roof and front seat. The big issue is that one of the rear air suspension bags gave out and now the truck rides like a bus. He's not sure if its the bag or what since he hasnt had time to check it but the price he gave me is 1500$. im guessing even if i have to put a little money into her it would still be a great deal since the engine runs great and seams like a sturdy car. What do you think? also what do you think im looking to spend after my purchase for all the repairs?

I would have a mechanic check it all out and get some quotes on the stuff you can't fix yourself, but it sounds like it might be a good deal.

well there is a thread on here if you want to replace your air bags with springs. as for electrical issues, all depends on how bad it is. sounds like a pretty good deal if the engine and tranny are good.

1500 worth it...but air bags are 150 used.....thats what friend sells them for...matbe 125...but u putem on...or covert it.

powers seat is probably broken...$50 for a base...or most likely they will sell u whole seat 75 i guess. just swapped my base of my seat...motors go bad or gears get dirty and lock up.

your pain will be airbags on susp.....look for them...there easier to replace rather then convert to springs, check to see if pump is good 1st.....thats another part thats NOT cheap,.,....even used...125 in a used yard. we sold one over summer off a navigater....
