I have a 99 Expo 4x4 with a 4.6 triton. It has started acting weird, it starts and runs like a dream, shifts great, but all of a sudden when riding down the road the washer fluid light and 4x4 light are coming on and off just flashing. My windows start not working intermittently and my dome light is flashing on and off. All doors are closed, washer fluid is full. I hear a clicking under the dash when it is doing this but can't seem to pinpoint it, all the while it is running and driving fine. If I stop shut it off and start it back up it goes away, but about a month ago I parked it at work and my rear ac blower kept blowing even after it was shut off? Ignition problem? PCM? Was wondering if anyone else has had problems like this, and how to fix? Any help is appreciated.

Just curious did you have a lot of rain recently? The clicking you are hearing sounds like a relay under the dash. The reason I asked about the rain is because the first generation expeditions have a common issue with the windshield leaking on the drivers side top corner of the window. When the water gets in it leaks down into the dash and hits the GEM module and or fuse panel causing all types of electrical gremlins. My friends had the windows open and the radio come on with the truck off and no key in the ignition. Check under the dash for water by the fuse box. It could also be a bad relay but I dont have the schematics here to see if those things are on the same circuit. Hope this helps. If it is water get the windshield resealed and see if the issues go away once its dried out. If not may have to replace the gem module or relay causing the issue. good luck

I had this proplom saved it on time by fixing the windshield 180$ was not the bad. it would crank by itself that was scary they can even catch on fire.
There is a conecter on the drivers left kick panel it has a 8mm socket in the middle of all the wires. you can see water on it, I tuck it off and cleaned it from the water and put electronic grease.

No problem thats what we are here for. Easy way to see if it is the windshield is if you have a compressor use it to blow air at high pressure at the windshield and see if you can feel it on the inside. If not use a garden hose and try to just direct it at the windshield seal up top and look inside after a minute or two for signs of moisture.
