What a p.i.t.a. But finally got it done. Stupid oem tool from autozone doesn't work good at all. Surely there's a better disconnect tool out there. I finally got the forward side off, then tried the rear and couldn't get it. So i chopped the canister off leaving just the stem in the line. Not sure if that was a bad idea or not but after an hour of fighting with the disconnect tool and the stem i managed to get it out. Putting the new one back in was a piece of cake.. Anyway i'm trying all options before i take it to a mechanic. I can't figure why i keep getting the p0136 and p0155 for the oxygen sensors. Already changed them 3 times. New spark plugs new air filter new fuel filter. Guess i'm taking her in on saturday!

How are the actual harnesses for the sensors? Are they in good shape?

thanx for the read. but after all my aggravation i finally took it to a good mechanic (even suggested i pay in installments if i don't have it all$) but he said that on these trucks you have to use motorcraft. i said bs. so he removed the old ones and put in 2 new motorcraft o2 sensors and viola! its not throwing any codes. charged $75 each o2 and $50 for labor. wish i would have just went with motorcraft from the start!!!! from now on when it comes to sensors and stuff like that it's motorcraft or nothing!
