After lurking for several months, I finally made a purchase. 2019 Platinum with tow package. got it for 20% off MSRP for 64k. Never thought I would spend that much on a vehicle, still wondering if I overpaid! Moving on from a 2007 Tahoe, that I loved. Three kids and an in-law and kids outgrew the rear seats. Never liked the Ford look but rented an expedition for spring break and we all loved it. The space, comfort and power really sold us. The look is still growing on me but when I saw the new Tahoe/Yukon line up, I decided to go with the Expedition. I appreciate all the members input and advice on this forum. It really helped me in regards to my decision and purchase.

Welcome and congratulations. My buddy has a suburban and I can't believe how much better the ford is, neither can he.and with 5 star tuning and a few other things, well, it's just silly.
My one recomendation that I can't recomended more strongly is ceramic window film.even on the sunroof. It really controls the summer heat very well, and makes the vehicle way more comfortable.

@usm1789 Welcome aboard! There is a lot of good info here... I still have a lot to learn myself.

This is a great suggestion... Hadn't thought of it. Guess that will have to be added when the tint goes on. Might have to do my other vehicle too...

How do you get 20% off MSRP? Are you buying the previous year showroom model with test drive miles that the dealer just needs to move? Every Ford dealer knows the greater NYC area wasn’t willing to drop a dime off the MSRP. Then again, I got ours when they first came out on preorder. By next year, with competition from the new Tahoe/Suburbans maybe Ford dealers here will be more flexible.

Good deal, 64k is about what its realistically worth if it sat on the lot. Don’t pay MSRP, these type of vehicles are not worth what the manufacturer is suggesting for retail price which is evident by the extreme initial depreciation off of that “suggested price”. You are starting off ahead!

An example of a current vehicle that is worth the suggested retail is a Raptor or Navigator as they typically hold their value. Post up pics of your new beauty.

I just got a 2019 platinum with the tow package last week. Paid 61,070 with a 77,010 MSRP. All the 2019 models at the dealer I bought from are 16,000 off now. They wouldn’t come down any more, and the other dealer I was speaking with wouldn’t come down more than 13k off a similar model. I would say you got a good deal.

Like Deadman said, the deals are out there. I essentially got 19% off MSRP on a 2020 Limited Max with all options (minus 2nd row captains and DVD headrests) that had 6 miles and just got on the lot 10 days prior. It included some of the cash back that Ford kicked up from $1,250 to $3,750 for President's Day, in this area. And $750 of that was for "old" inventory (61+ days) that the dealer gave me out of their pocket because it didn't qualify but a nearby dealer had a similar config that would have. I just acted like the other dealer had my first choice config, even though they didn't :emotions33:

Yeah great deal! My 19 platinum with tow pack in September took a week to get dealers to 74k then another $2300 in Ford cash purchase credit. $64K is bonkers good deal.

Dont hit any bucks with it. I caught one right between the headlights at 1000 miles‍♂️. 5 weeks $15,000. All plastic stuff, only bent hard stuff was the edge of the hood.
