You lose the right to ***** about gas mileage, when you buy an Expedition, Lincoln or Cadillac. Inflate the tires to 36-38lbs. It will not sacrifice the ride and will help. Keep the AC or defroster off, when not needed. It costs about a 1/2 mile per gal. Scan the road more, to avoid hard braking. Try Lucas gas treatment, it helps mileage and clean injectors. Ethanol free gas increases mileage 3-5%(thanks Obama for Federal ethanol 'mandate'). Premium will increase it about 5-8%(cafe test done with 90 octane fuel, not gas). Avoid warming it up and extended idling, that lowers your mileage to 0.

Try calculating your mileage using actual math. You know, distance/gallons used. Not sure you'll like the result. My 2014 gets 12 mpg in the city. It gets 12 mpg towing a 3500 lb camping trailer. No complaints.

I removed my tow bar, my front hooks, my 3 row seat. Total about 120 pounds. Didn't gain 1 mpg. It was at 10 before, 10 after. A little zippier acceleration though. If I could get my 307 pound Moose body down to 225. Like when I was 20, zippier still. Mileage will still be 10 I'll bet.

Well if it weighs ~6000 lbs.... you only decreased weight 2%. Thats negligible.

True, but I wasn't building a 1/4 mile drag racer. Sometimes I do things just because. Wonder how much that middle seat weighs?

Our 2016 Expy (2WD) got 19.4 mpg on an 1100 mile trip that was mostly interstate. I set cruise at 72 but wife ran it around 80 during her driving. Fortunately, she wasn't in the driver's seat much! [emoji23]
