So just got the truck to my buddies stereo shop. Doing a complete overhaul/upgrade to this thing stereo wise.

Step one should be done in a day or two and I will get pics up when I get to the shop tomorrow. It consists of a pioneer Avic-Z130BT head unit and Sirius xm radio module and iPhone/iPod cable. Soundstream T5-12 subwoofer and a custom box with soundstream stealth ST.1200.1 amplifier. For those unfamiliar with soundstream it isn't a cheap setup and made the W7 JL sound entry level. I had this sub/amp in my 2010 mustang GT and broke the trunk popper twice.

Step 2 will be next month and will consist of Front and rear Hertz 6x8s with crossovers and seperate mounted tweeters and a matching 4 channel amp. I'm not sure which series speaker yet that will be determined by the sound of the sub as it will be much different in the expy from the mustang. Also going to do a viper alarm w/ remote start and smart start capability.

Stage 3 and hopefully the final step will be the installation of the smart start. Back up camera and the steering wheel control harness for the head unit.

I'm still playing with the idea of headrest monitors but I want to see more of them installed before I decide so if you have any pics of that I would love to see!! So again tomorrow I will start getting pics up of the project.

I got lucky with this guy he is really good. I have been going to him for 12 years now but I have worked with his brother in law for 5 years and have since become good friends so my hook up is now considerably better. To put it in perspective, when he did the soundstream sub and amp, yellow top optima, custom box and install, he showed me what it would cost for an off the street customer. $2600, at my cost it was $1800. If not for him I could not afford to do any off this. I got my Avic for $900 and the price on it was $1500

This is very true, but to be fair doing this to the expedition is turning out to be WAY CHEAPER than building drag cars with the mustang croud. <- that's how I justified it to the wife. LoL
